LITTLE LEMON IN THE BIG APPLE

Alexa, play New York State of Mind by Billy Joel

There's nothing quite like the Big Apple.

As a NY virgin circa 2017, I found myself in awe at the city lights during my first visit last year. The second time around was nothing short of amazing.

I often find myself dreaming of the Manhattan skyline and New York Fashion Week in September.

The crisp air, lull of sirens, scent of freshly brewed coffee, and endless entertainment is constantly calling my name. I found myself venturing to Brooklyn a few months ago to experience The Festival of Disruption - a music, art, and film festival curated by David Lynch.

If you didn't know, my boyfriend and I are huge fans of the show Twin Peaks and we couldn't miss the opportunity of sipping on some Log Lady lager while listening to Animal Collective, right after watching a conceptual video on the importance of meditation of course.

Here's a little taste of our New York experience

David Lynch's Festival of Disruption brings together his favorite artists to expand our consciousness through creativity. The festival raises funds and awareness for the David Lynch Foundation, which provides Transcendental Meditation to people suffering from stress and toxic stress. The Festival of Disruption takes place twice a year; in NY in the Fall and in Los Angeles in the Spring.
